Kolmeks pumps offer an extra level of versatility over many other suppliers offering customisation options beyond the norm. We recently had a customer reach out to us to help replace an old failed twin-head pump at an NHS site in London.
We have a library of old pump datasheets form a variety of suppliers old and new so we set upon researching the specifications of the existing model. It didn’t take long before we released that it had PN6 flanges practically eliminating the option of an off-the-shelf pump. We selected the correct performance replacement from Komeks and requested the flanges to be drilled to suit PN6 standards. We then had some spacers machined so that the new pump would fit directly in the space of the old one.
The NHS site requested our engineers to fit the pump so we sent two of our on-the-road team to attend and quickly fit the replacement model. Because of the preplanning, it was a simple bolt-in swap and we wired the existing power supply in so the customer was back up and running ASAP.
